Earlier this year, Samsung launched its flagship trio consisting of Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra. The lineup originally arrived with the Android 10 operating system having One UI 2.0 skin on top. It looks like the chaebol is now planning to roll out a new major update to the device. We’re talking about the upcoming One UI 2.5. For those who’re unaware, the yet-to-unveiled Galaxy Note 20 lineup will make use of this software version.
Galaxy S20 might soon get One UI 2.5 after the launch of the Note 20 series!
With Galaxy S20 lineup, Samsung seems to be taking a different road for One UI updates. To recall, the previous-gen S10 arrived with One UI 1.1 out of the box. The device later got updated to One UI 2.0 directly without witnessing the middle One UI 1.5 update. Considering that in mind, the S20 users might also be looking for direct One UI 3.0 Android 11 update. Well, that might not happen.
According to Twitter posts by notable tipster @UniverseIce and @MaxWeinbach, Samsung seems to be working on a One UI 2.5 update for its Galaxy S20 trio. If that’s the case, then we should soon see the lineup receiving this major update. The Galaxy S20 lineup should see the update after the launch of Note 20 lineup and before One UI 3.0 arrives.

With that said, we don’t know much about the One UI 2.5 at the time of writing this. We should some more information after the launch of Galaxy Note 20 duo.
Samsung also working on Android 11 for the trio
According to another report, Samsung is already working on the Android 11 update for the S20 lineup. The early development for the new Android operating system with One UI 3.0 software has begun. If that’s the case, then the Android 11 beta program should be a few months away. It is also worth noting that Google hasn’t yet revealed the public availability of the Android 11 update. Considering previous patterns, the beta program should commence somewhere in the month of October.
