While we wait for the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5th, Samsung has kicked off the reservations. So, all fans of the brand will be able to grab a unit as soon as it becomes available.
It’s indeed now possible to register to receive the device first when it hits the market over on the official website. There are also no obligations regarding the booking; you can cancel the pre-order without fees and without issues. The only thing you have to do is to enter your name, surname, postal code and email address to guarantee yourself the device before stocks run out.
Additionally, reserving now the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will also give an “instant credit” of $ 50 which can be used to purchase other products from the company. These include covers, wearable and other devices. If you wish, you can choose to use the credit given by Samsung as a discount when purchasing the Note 20 (or Note 20 Ultra) as well. The new smartphone can be booked at any time from today until August 4th.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is Now Up for Reservations
Gizchina News of the week
Let’s quickly recap some of the specs on the Note 20 series starting with the basic model which comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED flat display with a refresh rate of 60Hz, while for the Ultra variant the South Korean giant will probably bring a 6.9-inch AMOLED Infinity Dynamic panel; which is also curved and has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Inside the Galaxy Note 20 we will find the SoC Exynos 990 from Samsung (at least in the variants that will arrive in Europe); which with its maximum clock speed of 2.7 gigahertz should offer more than enough performance. Samsung’s CPU will still be below the Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm that we expect to see outside of Europe as far as perfomance and energy efficiency are concerned.
Photography wise, the smartphone will pack a 12 megapixel main sensor with large pixel size; we’re indeed talking about 1.8 µm, along with automatic Dual Pixel autofocus. This sensor will be accompanied by a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle, with f / 2.2 aperture and 1.4 µm large pixels and a 64 megapixel sensor for 3x optical zoom, with f / 2.0 aperture and 1.0 µm large pixels. Other features will include 30x digital zoom and 8K video recording. Meanwhile, for selfies, the front camera will sport 10 megapixel sensor, with f / 2.2 aperture and Dual Pixel autofocus.
Finally, the Galaxy Note 20 will have 5G support, Bluetooth 5, support for Wi-Fi 6, NFC, USB Type-C 3.2, low latency S Pen and optimizations for Xbox and Project xCloud.
