Leaked Galaxy Watch 3 hands-on video shows some of its features

Galaxy Watch 3

The official premiere of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch will take place only on August 5, but one of the Youtubers has already been lucky enough to have the device in his hands. As a result, the first video review of this smartwatch has appeared on Youtube. A three-minute video confirms many of the features of the device, which were mentioned earlier.

The video shows the Galaxy Watch 3 with a 1.2-inch screen (41 mm case) with a rotatable and a rather thin bezel. The buttons have undergone a redesign. Making the Galaxy Watch 3 look more like a regular watch than a Samsung smartwatch of past generations. The device supports ECG recording, has an IP68-protected case (screen protected by Gorilla Glass DX) and 8 GB of built-in flash memory.

Interestingly, the video was published on July 24th, at the moment the video has been viewed almost 100,000 times. Usually, companies react harshly to such leaks – they demand the immediate removal of such content. But in this case, for some reason, this has not happened yet.

Samsung app confirms numerous features of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 3

Samsung has recently released the official Galaxy Watch 3 Plugin app for the yet to be announced Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch.

This happened almost immediately after the release of a similar companion application for the Galaxy Buds Live headphones in the App Store and Google Play. These headphones have also not yet officially presented.

Enthusiasts of the XDA Developers community were not too lazy to get into the application code. They found a number of interesting details about the upcoming new Samsung Galaxy Watch3 smartwatch.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will support gesture control. For example, clenching and unclenching your fist can answer an incoming call. To reject a call, just shake your hand.

The process of taking screenshots has been simplified. Now it will be enough to simultaneously hold down both side buttons. Another not insignificant innovation is the drop detection function, like the Apple Watch. If the user falls, the watch will ring for 60 seconds and if the user does not respond, then the watch will send the location and 5-second audio recording to the pre-selected contacts. There is also a setting for making an emergency call in case of a fall.

In addition, we saw a variety of watch faces that will be available for the Galaxy Watch3 by default. Some of them include pieces of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 wallpaper.
