Vivo S7: key specifications surface ahead of the launch

Vivo S7

Vivo wants to fill the market with 5G smartphones and we can say that they’re on the right path. The company is now gearing for a new mid-range 5G phone in the form of the Vivo S7. As you may expect, the phone comes to succeed in the successful Vivo S6 5G ditching the Exynos 980 SoC in favor of a Snapdragon 765G. So far, we have seen a couple of renders and some few details about the phone’s specifications. Now, a new leak comes to give us the best look at the phone’s specifications.

Vivo S7

According to a leaked image that lists several Vivo smartphones, the Vivo S7 packs a 44MP primary selfie camera. That’s right! The Vivo S7 will pack a powerful selfie camera as it wants to be a selfie-centric smartphone. However, this doesn’t mean that the rear camera will be bad. On the rear, we have a 64MP main camera that sits inside of the rectangular island. The design is very similar to that of the recently released Vivo X50 Pro. There are two auxiliary shooters below. As per a leaked render, the phone will offer hybrid zoom, so we’re probably looking at an Ultra-Wide angle camera and telephoto lens. Another interesting detail is that the Vivo S7 comes to be the thinnest 5G smartphone with just 7.39mm of thickness. Hopefully, this will not affect the battery size.

Gizchina News of the week

Vivo S7

Worth noting that the Vivo S7 is likely coming with an AMOLED display. The Vivo S6 5G had an AMOLED the display and even the S5 had one. So it’s natural to expect this panel on the S7. Moreover, the company will not pierce the display to fit the massive 44MP shooter neither its secondary sensor. The company will stick with the 2017’s Wide-Notch solution. Of course, it’s not the costumer’s favorite way to fit a selfie shooter. Worth noting that based on th leaked renders, the phone does not have a side-mounted or rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Due to the probable AMOLED nature, we can easily assume that the sensor will be placed underneath the display.

Other specifications include support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi Networks, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB-C port. Unfortunately, we still don’t know about the battery capacity or fast-charging technology present on this model.  Thankfully we will not need to wait much longer.
