Xiaomi has a huge portfolio of products. Apart from the more popular ones like smartphones, smart TVs, Notebooks, and wearables, the company has consistently been expanding its offer of smart home appliances. The company’s portfolio is huge in China, but not so big in other countries. The company is slowly trying to change this, at least in India. On its second stronghold, the company already released products like the Mi Toothbrush, Mi Roboto Vacuum Cleaner, Electric Screwdriver, Mi Beard Trimmer, and more. Now, the company will unveil a new product on August 6 in India.
Xiaomi India took to Twitter to tease a new product. It will likely be a new beard trimmer. The tweet reads “All the bros and dudes out there, it’s time to take control of your beard and become your own stylist. #YourSalonAtHome Launching on 6th August”. It’s not hard to guess what product the company will unveil on August 6, right?

Gizchina News of the week
The company even made available a dedicated landing page for the upcoming product. It will go official at 12 noon IST on August 6. The page also reveals some of the features coming with the new beard trimmer. Users can expect a long battery life and a universal charging mechanism. The beard trimmer will also include perfect grip, enhanced precision, and smooth trim at every stroke. The new beard trimmer will unsurprisingly be the successor of the first Mi Beard Trimmer. The predecessor was released in India in June last year. More details about the upcoming product should emerge in the coming days as the launch date comes near.
Mi Beard Trimmer
The original Mi Bear Trimmer came a year ago featuring what Xiaomi describes as âquad-edge designâ. Itâs a plastic build but is sturdy and ergonomic to hold comfortably in the hand. On the top, it has a power button and a dial that allows users to adjust blade length. There are also charge indicators. The Trimmer works both with a cord and without it. The trimmer is claimed to provide a backup of 90 minutes on a single charge and supports most power banks as well because of the USB Type-A port on the charging cable.
The circular dial will allow users to work with 40 different beard lengths and itâs IPX7 rated which means that it can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Among the main features we can list:
- Self-sharpening blades with 0.5mm precision
- 40 length setting with two combs
- 90 minutes of battery life on one charge
- IPX7 waterproof quad-edge design
- Travel lock
- Cordless and corded usage (supports most power bank)
We can expect all the above features to come in the upcoming device.
I expect that Xiaomi sells this new beard trimmer outside India. At least in China, where the current model is produced, so you have a chance to buy it through the resellers. And on the other hand, there are many Chinese men with beard, not as many as other countries but these men exist in China, no all Chinese guys want a perfect shave for every day.
