Huawei: China can become an innovation center in 20 to 30 years

With the recent ban ravaging multiple Chinese companies, it is no surprise that Huawei hopes that China can become an innovation center. Huawei’s CEO, Ren Zhengfei recently visited Southeast University in China. Mr. Ren had over two hours with available experts. He compared cutting-edge science to a “black room” and university professors to pearls. He hopes that universities can become beacons and illuminate the way forward for college students. For him, teachers should work hard to create the necessary sparks that will light up students’ scientific research ability.

Ren Zhengfei said that we must cherish every child because I don’t know which child will ignite the spark of the world. He said, “Stars don’t ask for travelers, time pays off”. When he came to Southeast University, he found that there are many professors sitting on the bench. This is China’s hope. China’s 5000-year history has left a precious culture of farming and reading, and all parents hope that their children will study. Ultimately, Ren Zhengfei hopes that in 20 to 30 years, China can become an innovation center.

In recent times, Huawei’s CEO has been on a visiting spree to Chinese universities. On July 30, he took Huawei’s executives and expert team to visit the Handan campus of Fudan University. On July 29, Ren Zhengfei and his entourage also visited Shanghai Jiaotong University. With these visits, Huawei also hopes to encourage the professionals to put more effort into research.
