Predictions have already flashed on the network that a new version of the Hydrogen OS 11 user interface is being prepared for release. However, the company itself did not hide the fact that the evolution of the firmware would continue and even hinted at one of the features that it would receive. But until today there was no understanding when to wait for the announcement of the eleventh version of the interface. Now the specifics have appeared.
OnePlus will unveil a brand new Hydrogen OS 11 in a week
The company posted a teaser today on its Weibo page announcing that Hydrogen OS 11 will be announced on August 11. New visual effects, functionality enhancements and capabilities are promised, which the company itself refers to as “a completely new interactive concept.”
The release is interesting, first of all, to the owners of Chinese versions of OnePlus smartphones. But almost certainly many of the features and innovations that will be implemented in Hydrogen OS 11 will find their embodiment in OxygenOS 11 global version. But without some of the options that are in demand and exclusive to the Chinese market.
We already know about one of the features. Recall that last week the head of the company Pete Lau published a teaser. It clearly hints at the appearance of the Always-on Display function in the firmware. Most likely, the stable version of OxygenOS 11 will be ready by the time of the OnePlus 8T release, whose announcement is expected in October-November this year.
