Huawei Developer Conference (2020) will hold from September 10th to September 12th. According to the company, it will officially release the Hongmeng 2.0 system. Last year, Huawei officially released the first version of its Hongmeng OS (1.0). A recent rumor suggests that the Hongmeng 2.0 will arrive with a new logo. The non-Chinese version of the Hongmeng system is known as HarmonyOS. However, neither the HarmonyOS nor the HongmengOS has a logo.
A logo is a simple identifier of a brand. However, if a logo is not interesting, it could be a turn off for many people, especially readers. According to the report on Weibo, Huawei has registered for the Hongmeng logo. Interestingly, there are three designs, it appears that the HarmonyOS and HongmengOS will have different logos.
The first logo comes with a series of lines forming what looks like “Hiii”. It is quite similar to the style of HP’s new logo. The second image is quite similar to the first but adds some dots to it. The style of the Chinese version is completely different. It consists of two small dots and four circles of different sizes. Three of the circles are connected together.

Maybe it is because this is only a trademark but for me, none of these logos look interesting. Nevertheless, if you have to choose one for the Hongmeng system, which will it be?
What changes will the Hongmeng 2.0 OS bring?
As of now, there is no information on the changes that the Hongmeng 2.0 will bring. However, this system has been around for about a year. Thus, it will likely arrive with a wider range of features and support more devices. In addition to smart screens, we expect this system on Huawei smartwatches. According to a Huawei official, in the future, all Huawei IoT devices will use HongmengOS. This includes PCs, tablets, and even mobile phones.
Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer business software department, also recently revealed that Huawei has a set of software that can be flexibly deployed across multiple IoT modules. Huawei’s goal is to enable Hongmeng to support multiple devices.
It is worth mentioning that at this developer conference, Huawei will also announce EMUI 11. This system is based on the open-source version of Android 11. It will arrive on the Mate 40 Pro for the first time. Nevertheless, there are reports that the Mate 40 standard version will use EMUI 10.x out-of-the-box.
