Just like most smartphone makers, Nokia has also forayed into the smart television space. Back in June, the Finnish company launched its 43-inch offering in the Indian market. It already has two more size options at the time of writing this namely 55-inch and 65-inch. It looks like HMD Global’s owned Nokia is now looking to add more sizes to its roster. According to the recent certification, the brand is working on two more smart televisions with 50-inch and 32-inch sizes. That’s not it, both the products might soon end up launching in the country.
Nokia 50-inch and 32-inch smart TV appears on BIS certification!
The 32-inch Nokia smart TV bears the model number 50TAUHDN while the larger 50-inch has the model number 32TAHDN. As expected, the BIS listing has revealed some key information along the way. The 50-inch smart TV will feature a UHD display having a resolution of 4K. The smaller 32-inch offering, on the other hand, will stick with a Full HD display panel. Furthermore, both the televisions are manufactured by Dixon Technologies in Andhra Pradesh, India. Considering the previous offerings, we should expect multiple OTT supports out of the box along with Android 9 for the TV operating system. For audio, we can also expect Nokia’s PureSound technology along with JBL speakers.
Gizchina News of the week
To recall, previous Nokia TVs arrived with 16GB internal storage along with numerous connectivity options such as WiFI, Bluetooth 5.0, 3x HDMI, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, and Ethernet. The available Nokia smart TVs also come with MEMC tech and Dolby Vision. With more models under its belt, Nokia is looking to compete with the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus, and Samsung. It would be interesting to see how well Nokia’s new TVs will perform and whether it will bring something new to the table or not. Considering the previous patterns, the upcoming ones should also be available exclusively on Flipkart.
Expected price, specs
We are expecting the 50-inch screen to size to fall somewhere around INR 40,000. This makes sense considering the 43-inch is priced at INR 31,999. The 32-inch display, on the other hand, should be priced somewhere around INR 25,000. We are expecting more information to surface in the coming days or weeks.
