The Mi 10 Ultra is due for a launch this evening at 5 PM IST. However, some overly enthusiastic people on the Chinese blogosphere have leaked the full unboxing of the handset. While Xiaomi did a good job keeping it under wraps till now, the official renders yesterday revealed a key aspect of the handset. The video is currently live on YouTube as well.
Mi 10 Ultra: 120W fast charge + 120x Zoom
As this is Xiaomi’s 10th anniversary, we had expected the company to bring in some eye-popping features and Xiaomi hasn’t disappointed. The box has been seen prior to this, so there’s nothing new to talk there. Inside the box is where things get interesting. Xiaomi has bundled a 120W GaN charger inside the box. This can only mean one thing. That Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Ultra will be the world’s first to boast a mind-boggling 120W fast charging feature.
But there’s not only where we see the number 120. Take the wraps off the phone and flip it to its the back. You’ll see the 120x digital zoom periscope lens which is again a world first. Xiaomi has been a frontrunner in consistently bringing fresh new technology to the masses. And this is what it wants to also symbolize with the Mi 10 Ultra. The rest of the camera specifications are still under wraps. However, we can count on Xiaomi to go all out on this one. Therefore a 108MP main sensor is likely.

Other Features
Now, besides these things, there were rumours about an under-screen camera. Those are now quashed by this unboxing leak. The Mi 10 Ultra has a usual hole-punch front camera. I guess we’ll have to wait a bit more to see a commercial phone with that technology.
The display is a 6.67-inch display AMOLED panel and the handset comes pre-installed with MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS. Underneath the chassis, Xiaomi has fit in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC powered by a 4,500mAh battery.
That’s not the only product that Xiaomi will present today. It has been officially announced that Xiaomi 10/Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition and a Master Series TV, will be unveiled. And there might still be surprises.
