Oppo is making the Reno 4 one of the biggest families to ever make part of the Reno series. A few months ago, the company announced the Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro in China with powerful cameras, gorgeous displays, and a Snapdragon 765G SoC ensuring 5G connectivity. Back in the last month, the company took the wraps off the Global version of Oppo Reno 4 and 4 Pro. Interestingly enough, these devices were less capable with a mid-range Snapdragon 720G which lacks 5G connectivity. Now, the company is gearing up to announce two new members for the family – Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G and Reno 4 Lite. These devices have just received proper certification which hints a nearing launch.
The Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G
It’s interesting to see the Oppo Reno 4Z 5G getting certification. After all, the last Reno Z model was the Reno2 Z and the company didn’t even release a Reno 3 Z. The series will be revived with the “Fourth”. The upcoming device appeared on the Bluetooth SIG database with the CPH2065 model number. According to the certification listing, it bears a 6.57-inch HD+ display. Under the hood, the have the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC with a 2.0GHz clock speed. The phone also draws power from a 4,000mAh battery and offers dual-band Wi-Fi. It also runs ColorOS 7.1 straight out of the box. The resolution of these panels brings a little bit of controversy, after all, it’s not every day we see a 5G phone with an HD+ resolution.

The phone also got FCC approval and the listing reveals an image of the phone. The handset boasts a Quad-Camera setup that is very similar to the Oppo A92S. According to some rumors, this may be a rebadged, yet upgraded, Oppo A92S.
Oppo Reno 4 Lite
According to a report from DealnTech, the Reno 4 Lite is also coming soon. The device boasts CPH2125 model number and it has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG. The phone flaunts a 6.43-inch that unsurprisingly also has HD+ resolution. Under the hood, we have another MediaTek 2.0GHz chipset and a 4,000mAh battery.
Unfortunately, we still have no official confirmation from Oppo regarding the launch of these two new devices. However, this should happen pretty soon as the devices had just achieved the necessary certifications for a release. Moreover, we can pretty much assume that this handset will be released in Global markets.
