Multiple smartphone manufacturers have been trying to bring fast charging technologies to the general consumer, such as iQOO with the 120W fast charging on the iQOO 5 series. On the other hand, brands have been trying to make full-screen display smartphones without using a pop-up or a motorized mechanism.
ZTE Axon 20 5G: World’s First Under Display Camera Smartphone?
It was expected that the under-display smartphones would arrive in 2021 but, In an unexpected move, the Ni Fei who is ZTE Terminal’s President for Business Unit took to Weibo that the company will soon launch the world’s first under-screen camera smartphone pretty soon. While he has not shared any information regarding the device such as the name or specifications; a reliable tipster from China posted on Weibo a screenshot of from the State Radio Regulation of China (SRRC) page about a smartphone with model number ZTE A2021 which will be debuting as the ZTE A20 5G.
ZTE recently had announced the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G which carried the model number A2020. Consequently, the SRRC certified A2021 could be the ZTE Axon 20 5G phone. At the instant, there is no report on the specifications of the device.

In July, Visionex had confirmed that it has already started mass-producing the under-display camera and smartphones featuring it will be arriving soon. So, ZTE is more likely to use the same sensor mass-produced by Visionex. Smartphone manufacturing giants such as Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo and more are all said to be working on the under-display camera solution, but ZTE would be the first to bring it to the general consumers.

Wi-Fi 6 also reduces the time required to keep the antenna powered to transmit and search for signals; thus greatly reducing battery consumption and improving battery life. Finally, the smartphone is powered by a 4000mAh capacity battery and runs MiFavor 10 based on Android P OTB.
