Recently, Counterpoint, a well-known market research agency conducted an research and found the best-selling smartphone models in eight different countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Britain, China, India, France, South Korea, Germany, and Japan. These reports show a representative value fo the market shares of competing brands.
According to Counterpoint, Apple and Samsung dominate in the United States, Among the top 5 best-selling models, the iPhone 11 steadily ranks first with a market share of 16%, followed by Samsung’s A10e and A20. In addition, iPhone XR and iPhone 11 Pro Max also rank among the top five which comes as a surprise.
When it comes to the United Kingdom, it is basically monopolized by the iPhone’s. Among the Top 5 best-selling smartphone models, the list contains four iPhones, where the iPhone 11 occupies the first place with a tremendous market share of 12%. The Chinese market has greater diversity than others: the iPhone 11 ranked first with a 4% share, but there isn’t a lot of difference between the other models in the top 5, the OPPO A8, Honor 9X, Vivo Y3, Huawei Mate 30 5G ranked among the top five.
On to the Indian market, Xiaomi’s performance has been the exceptional killing off its competition. All the top 5 smartphones are occupied by Redmi, majorly all thanks due to the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi 8 models being particularly popular, each accounting for a 14% share of the market. There’s no sign of Realme or even Samsung dominating the Indian market.
