It is not only upgraded to the latest Ryzen 4000 processor but also uses AMD’s standard processor on an ultrabook for the first time. We have to say the productivity performance has been greatly improved.
Performance
The AMD Ryzen standard processor refers to the Ryzen 4000 H series. Its TDP power consumption can reach 35-45W. This is more powerful than the 15W performance of the U low-power series. This time it comes with an up to Ryzen 7 4800H model, which has 8 cores and 16 threads. The base frequency is 2.9GHz, while the boosted frequency reaches 4.2GHz and the full-core acceleration frequency is 4.1GHz. The chip also integrates the Vega 7 GPU. The thermal design power consumption is 45W.
After using the standard processor, the performance of the Huawei MateBook 13/14 Ryzen Edition is greatly improved compared to the ultrabook version. It only takes 2.5 seconds to start a 1GB PPT file, and it only takes 2.6 seconds to modify 300 images with a 7.5GB capacity by LR in batches. A code with 3.4 million lines will take only 4 minutes and 10 seconds to compile.
The heat dissipation system of the Huawei MateBook 13/14 Ryzen Edition has also been upgraded. The thickness has increased by 40%, the number of blades has increased by 49%, and the heat dissipation efficiency has been greatly improved. Such changes allow the 8-core standard processor to continue to output 40W performance.

Screen and Design
The Huawei MateBook 13/14 sports a full 2K touch screen. The former screen accounts for 88% and the latter screen accounts for 90%. The high screen ratio brings a wide and immersive view. This new notebook supports 100% sRGB color gamut, and the picture is vivid. It has passed the Rheinland low blue light certification, which helps to protect the eyes.
In terms of body design, the Huawei MateBook 13/14 uses a luminous and slim metal body. The former is as light as 1.3Kg and as thin as 14.9mm; the latter is as light as 1.49kg and as thin as 15.9mm.
