The front camera will have a 12MP wide-angle and 3D modules.

Gizchina News of the week

The iPhone 12 is expected to be announced on October 12. The other day there were rumors about Apple event on September 10, but on this day the premiere of the inexpensive iPad 8 and the top-end iPad Pro, as well as the Apple Watch 6 smartwatch, should take place.

Apple will lower the prices of iPhone 12 components to offset the 5G cost

According to a new research report by the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is aiming to lower the prices of iPhone 12 components to offset rising costs of 5G technology and not raise retail prices for smartphones.

Adding full 5G support to new smartphones will increase component costs by $125-135, the analyst said. So the company is looking for ways to lower costs for other components.

One such component is the battery board. Apple, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, is moving towards a simpler, more compact design with fewer layers. The hybrid board for the iPhone 12 will be 40-50% cheaper than the equivalent part in the iPhone 11 line.

In addition, the analyst claims that next year the company will switch to an even cheaper board option in the iPhone 12s line. It will be 30-40% more affordable than the board found in the iPhone 12.

We expect the presentation of the iPhone12 to take place in October this year.
