Redmi 6 Pro is getting MIUI 12 update in India

Redmi 6 Pro

Back in April, Xiaomi announced to the world their next big thing for MIUI fans, the latest version MIUI 12 comes adding a set of new features and improving things that were already good. Since the announcement, the company has been working hard to bring to update to a huge number of Xiaomi devices. While some are still plagued with uncertainty, others are getting MIUI 12 all the way around. In China, the company is almost finished with most of its eligible devices running the latest OS. Now, it is shifting its focus to the Global markets like India. If by any chance you have a Redmi 6 Pro wandering around, be glad to know that it is the latest device to get MIUI 12 treatment in India!

If you’re unaware, the Redmi 6 Pro is already running MIUI 12 in China since the beginning of August. The device got the update alongside the Redmi S2 in China, which sells in Inda as Redmi Y2. The Redmi 6 Pro, however, kept its name on both markets. After considering that the Chinese update is pretty much done, the company moved its focus to the Indian variant. Worth noting that the update is reaching just a small portion of users right not. If no last-minute bug appears, then the company will move forward and bring MIUI 12 to more users. We expect all units to be running it before mid-September.
