Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy A11 smartphone was released only six months ago, the company is already preparing a successor for it. The device has received a logical designation Galaxy A12 and a lot of flash memory – twice as much as the Galaxy A11. So the Galaxy A12 is potentially one of the cheapest Samsung smartphones with 64GB of flash storage.
Samsung preparing to launch the budget Galaxy A12 with 64GB of memory
Along with this, other improvements are planned. For example, 3 GB of RAM will become the standard, and the battery capacity is likely to increase from the current 4000 mAh of the Galaxy A11.
As for the other parameters of the model, they are likely to correspond to the model of the current generation. So, the camera will continue to use 13, 5 and 2-megapixel sensors, and the 6.4-inch HD+ Infinity-O screen is likely to remain.
The Galaxy A12 is reportedly still in development, so it won’t be released until a couple of months from now. The device will be offered in black, white, red and blue.
Samsung Galaxy A11 features
After releasing a Galaxy A10s in mid-September 2019, Samsung has announced the Galaxy A11 in March in non-ceremonious fashion. Being the most affordable A-series device, it still isn’t the first one to launch though. The Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 have the honor of that title. Black, white, blue and red are the four-color editions of the smartphone.

Coming to the specifications and design part, the Galaxy A11 gets a hole-punch Infinity-O display as compared to a dew-drop notch design on its predecessors. It’s also a wee bit bigger at 6.4-inches. It has an LCD panel with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. Flip it to the back and there’s an extra camera now added to the mix. Interestingly, Samsung doesn’t declare the identity of the SoC used inside the phone. Instead, the spec-sheet calls it “Octa-Core (1.8 GHz)” chip which is surprisingly lower than the base frequency of the CPU on the Galaxy A10s. There’s an option to choose between 2GB/3GB of RAM with a fixed 32GB of onboard expandable storage.
Coming to cameras, the front houses an 8MP f/2.0 aperture selfie snapper while the rear setup consists of a 13MP main shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A11 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. It also carries support for 15W fast charging and the back panel of the phone has a fingerprint reader. In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy A11 measures 161.4 x 76.3 x 8.0mm and weighs 177 grams.
