Samsung is one of the first smartphone makers to bring foldable devices to the masses. Last year, the South Korean giant launched its first foldable phone dubbed Galaxy Fold. Since then, the smartphone has launched Galaxy Z Flip in both LTE and 5G connectivity. We’re now looking at the second generation of the original Fold smartphone dubbed Galaxy Z Fold 2. Earlier this month, Samsung revealed the upcoming foldable smartphone but with fewer details only.
Well, it’s time for the second iteration of the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 edition. For those who’re unaware, it is scheduled for September 1 and will focus entirely on the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 2. After the pricing information, we’re now looking at the complete spec sheet leak of the smartphone.
Galaxy Z Fold 2: complete specs leaks
The folks over at WinFuture has managed to find the complete specifications of the smartphone ahead of the official launch. According to the report, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be equipped with a 6.2-inch outer SUPER AMOLED panel. The display will come with a 2208×1768 pixels resolution, HDR10+, 60Hz refresh rate along with a punch-hole cutout. When unfolded, you will find a large 7.6-inch diagonal Dynamic AMOLED panel with a high 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2208×1768 pixels.

The foldable screen will arrive with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG). Furthermore, we’re looking at an additional plastic protective film. Under the hood, the foldable smartphone will make use of the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The onboard storage is not expandable.
Coming to the optics, we’re looking at a triple rear camera module – 12MP primary sensor (f/1.8, 1.8um), 12MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2, 1.12um), and a 12MP telephoto lens (f/2.4, 1.0um). The rear camera module can record videos at 4K resolution along with 960fps slow-motion clips. For selfies, we’re looking at a punch-hole cutout on both the displays. They will have a single 10MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 1.22um pixels. it can also record 4K videos at 60fps and will come with modes such as HDR10+, hyper-lapse, night mode, and Bixby Vision.
Powered by 4,500 mAh battery, the smartphone will support 25W fast charging solution along with 11W wireless charging. We’re also looking at a Wireless PowerShare. According to the report, the battery will be able to last for up to 31 hours on a single charge on 4G connectivity. You can find other details down below.
