Back in the last month, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Nord as its first mid-range smartphone in years. Now, it seems that the OnePlus Nord will be more than just a single device, but an entire series of affordable devices. The OnePlus Nord came with competitive specifications, 5G, and a powerful camera featuring OIS. Despite the appeal, the device’s availability was rather limited. One big market to lose out the handset was the United States. However, the company promised to bring a more affordable OnePlus phone in the coming months. According to a new report from Android central, the next budget device will bear the Clover codename and will debut in the $200 range. More importantly, the device will be available globally.
OnePlus Nord with Snapdragon 460 alleged specifications
The report specifies that the phone key specifications include a 6.52-inch HD+ display featuring the Snapdragon 460 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage. The device will have a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging. It will also pack a 13MP primary camera around the back alongside two 2MP auxiliary lenses likely for depth and macro shots. Interestingly enough, an 18W charger has been certified by TUV Rheinland earlier this month. The phone will likely debut with OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10.
Moreover, a Chinese leakster that goes by Chun was the first person to report a Snapdragon 460-powered, OnePlus Nord.
According to that report, OnePlus will unveil a new smartphone by the end of September featuring a Snapdragon 460 SoC. Then another report came stating that there’s even a cheaper smartphone featuring a Snapdragon 460 and OnePlus Nord branding.
