POCO revolutionized the smartphone world with the introduction of the Pocophone F1 featuring 2018’s flagship chipset and a super affordable price tag. The company had an entire 2019 of hiatus but decided to return this year for an adventure as a separate Xiaomi brand. However, we have to say that so far Poco is quite disappointingly. Rather than releasing new smartphones, the company is all about rebranded Xiaomi and Redmi devices. Now the company is gearing to up to reveal a device that might be the first original device since Poco’s revival.
The first POCO smartphone released this year was the Poco X2. The device is just a rebranded Redmi K30 4G, which is a good device for mid-range costumers. The second device was the highly-anticipated POCO F2 Pro, but it was nothing besides a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro. The third device launched in India was the Poco M2 Pro. This device, in fact, isn’t a direct rebranding, but still is very close to the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. You can imagine how this brought confusion to costumers in India. Now, Poco is moving to release a new device. And the company is all about teasing this handset.
Poco’s Product Marketing Manager and Global spokesperson is doling out details for the Poco X3. The phone will indeed have a 64MP camera, the manager confirmed. He shared the first camera sample for the smartphone. However, this seems to be downscaled and the phone should still take 16MP photos with pixel binning. You can even catch a glimpse of the smartphone’s camera UI via the image below.
