Samsung is gearing to launch a new mid-range smartphone dubbed Galaxy M51. This device is quite important for the company since it will be one of the most powerful offerings for the super mid-range M-series. Among its highlights, the device packs a gorgeous AMOLED display and a massive 7,000mAh battery. While the device is yet to go official, it is now available for pre-order in Germany. The page for the phone is also live on the official Samsung Germany website.
Galaxy M51 specifications
The Galaxy M51 packs an impressive 6.7-inch display with Infinity-O cutout. It’s an AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The Infinity-O hole serves as a house for the 32MP camera. Just above it, we have a very thin earpiece speaker. The device has a glossy back that is home to four cameras.
The Quad-Camera Setup brings a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 Ultrawide 123º lens, 5MP f/2.4 macro, and 5MP f/2.4 depth lens. Of course, users will find all the sets of smart functionalities within the camera app. We have Live Focus, Panorama, and Macro mode to name just a few.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the hood, the Galaxy M51 boasts an unnamed Octa-Core processor. Unfortunately, Samsung keeps its profile by not revealing the chipset. It could be either an Exynos chipset or in the best-case scenario a Snapdragon 730 SoC. Of course, this is a 4G chipset. The phone is available only in a single option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage. As usual, users can use a microSD card to expand the memory up to 512GB.
As aforementioned, what really makes the Galaxy M51 stand against the competition is its 7,000mAh battery. Apart from the Gionee M10, we’re yet to see a mid-range phone that surpasses this handset’s battery in 2020. Thankfully, the phone also comes with a 25W fast-charging technology so despite its size you can recharge it at an adequate speed. Despite the presence of an AMOLED display, Samsung decided to equip this phone with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Perhaps, for keeping the price low. Worth noting that this phone runs Android with One UI running atop.
According to Samsung’s website, the device is available for pre-order with a price tag of €360. The estimated shipping date at checkout is September 11. We know that this device will also reach other countries and regions including India. The only question that remains is whether Samsung will officially unveil it or opt for a quiet launch like this one.
