The Redmi Note 9 series still is consolidating its presence in the market, but this can’t prevent Xiaomi from starting to tease us with the upcoming Redmi Note 10 series. Since 2018, Xiaomi adopted a strategy of releasing two Redmi Note series every year. In 2018, we had the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 6 Pro. Last year, the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 series. Now, it’s natural to think that before the end of 2020 we will see a new Redmi Note 10 series. More than reaching the big “ten” generation number, the new smartphones are set to bring 5G connectivity and that will be a first in the Redmi Note story.
Yesterday, an alleged Redmi Note 10 smartphone bearing model number M2007J22C obtained network access permission in China. The information on the page confirmed the availability of 5G connectivity. If we take in mind previous news about Xiaomi’s devices, it’s not too hard to attribute this listing to the upcoming Redmi Note 10. Today, a set of fresh information comes from the so-called Digital Chat Station leakster.

Gizchina News of the week
According to the tipster, Xiaomi will stick with its recurring tradition of releasing multiple Redmi Note 10 devices. The Note 10 series will be driver by the MediaTek MT6853V/TNZA and MT6875 chipsets. These model numbers stand for Dimensity 720 and Dimensity 820 respectively. So, what could be these devices, Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro, or Note 10S and 10 Pro? Only time will tell, but some rumors are pointing a release for the new smartphones until October. Worth noting, that these devices would certainly hit China first and remain exclusive in the market for some time.
Back in the last month, Note 10 made a brief appearance in the rank list of AI Benchmarks. The listing confirmed the Dimensity 820 SoC alongside 8GB of RAM. The Dimensity 820 SoC is a premium mid-range chipset offering 5G+5G dual card dual stand by support. The chipset is built on a 7nm process and features 4x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6GHz plus 4 x Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset comes with the excellent Mali-G57 MC5 GPU which may keep the Note 10 a gaming device.
The Dimensity 720 brings full 5G support and combines 2 x Cortex-A75 Cores operating at up to 2GHz with Siz Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset also brings a Mali G57 GPU.
We’ll probably hear more about the Note 10 series in the coming weeks as it seems to be getting more consistency.
But, he does not Say Xiaomi 😅
