Huawei has been on a launching spree in its hometown China although they haven’t launched many products globally. Huawei’s smartwatches have been a good success, and the brand has taken a step further; and is gearing up for the launch of the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro globally. According to a new leak, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro will be the next output product; from the company for international markets.

This new renders and specifications of the upcoming HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro come from Roland Quandt of WinFuture. According to Roland, the upcoming smartwatch by the Chinese telecom giant Huawei is a minor upgrade to the last year’s Watch GT 2; and will be retailing in Germany in the coming weeks for around €280.

Though not mentioned directly by the tipster,  it should be powered by HiSilicon Kirin A1 chipset as seen as on the last generation. It is expected to feature the exact same internals as the non-pro variant including GPS, accelerometer, 32MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage for music storage and playback, gyro, barometer, compass, GPS, and a 455mAh battery. It will feature a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 sensor and will be also water-resistant up to 50m.

The upcoming Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro will sport the same 1.39-inch circular OLED display with 454 x 454 pixels. The outer casing will be made of stainless steel; with subtle differences in design compared to other models in the Watch GT 2 series. It will only be available in a single 46mm size, and two different colours but users will be able to choose from either silicone or leather strap in various colours.

Moreover, the HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro will work on LiteOS with support for various fitness tracking activities, sleep monitoring, stress monitoring, and blood oxygen level monitoring and more. Additionally, it will come with support for wireless charging, in addition to proprietary magnetic charging unlike previous smartwatches from Huawei.

Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is passing through a very difficult phase of its development. The company has to cope with multiple bans from the U.S. In addition to bans from the U.S. government, many allies of the U.S are also banning Huawei. Nevertheless, the company is still releasing new products. Its flagship Huawei mate 40 Series will arrive in a few months. However, it appears that the company will also have new smartwatches. The latest report shows that Huawei Watch GT2 Pro and Honor Watch GS Pro now have EEC certification.
