Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra receives September 2020 security patch!

Galaxy Note 20

Launched last month, Samsung‘s latest phablet lineup dubbed Galaxy Note 20 series has now started receiving its first-ever security update. For those who’re unaware, the lineup consists of two devices namely the vanilla Note 20 and the Note Ultra variant. The all-new software OTA update brings the latest September 2020 Android security patch to the smartphone.

Samsung‘s latest rolled out update carries the build number N98XFXXS1ATH9. As expected, Germany is one of the first countries to receive this new security patch update. The update has also managed to hit south-east Europe. We are expecting more countries to soon follow the suit. Since we’re looking at the security patches, the update does not bring anything major.

If you reside in Germany or in south-east European countries, then you might have already got the update notification. If not, then make sure to check for updates manually by heading over to Settings>>System Update>>Download and Install. Whenever the update will hit more countries, we will make sure to keep our readers updated.

To recall, Samsung previously announced the three-year-device update program where the brand will push three major software updates instead of the two. All the devices from Galaxy S10 to now will be a part of this all-new update policy. This means that the Note 20 lineup will receive three-year major software and minor software updates as well.
