Therefore, the company will be doubling the production of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. According to reports, the company will produce 700,000 to 800,000 Galaxy Z Fold 2 phones. Recall that Samsung produced about 400,000 Samsung Galaxy Fold last year.
For Samsung, doubling the production capacity of this phone gives it an edge in the foldable phone market. It will have enough units to maintain its leading position in the foldable phone market. Nevertheless, the coronavirus pandemic is delaying is production. This smartphone may not leave the U.S. until early 2021.
