On the evening of September 10, at the Huawei conference, the company released a new generation of TWS wireless headsets – Huawei FreeBuds Pro. This is the new flagship product of Huawei headsets, coming with the world’s first dynamic noise reduction technology.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro Appearance
For wireless headphones, the appearance is not only important in terms of look but also has an important impact on wearing comfort. The Huawei FreeBuds Pro headphones draw inspiration from piano keys and design a unique geometric cube ear handle. Thus, it shots two birds with one stone.
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro earphones are available in carbon crystal black, ceramic white, and silver frost variants. They weigh only 6.1 grams and there are three sizes of silicone earplugs.
In terms of acoustics, the FreeBuds Pro headset has built-in three high-sensitivity microphones. Plus, there is an 11mm super-magnetic steady-state dynamic coil and a bone voiceprint sensor and other high-quality acoustic components. They can be dynamically sensed according to the wearer’s ear canal and intelligently learn the habits and status of users.
Dynamic Noise Reduction
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro headset is the world’s first to support dynamic noise reduction technology. This system consists of an acoustic perception system and a dynamic perception system. It can accurately identify and judge the external sound field environment as the latter changes, and automatically recognize and learn the user status.

Not only that, the FreeBuds Pro headset also supports three noise reduction modes: light noise reduction, balanced noise reduction, and deep noise reduction. And it can automatically recognize the wearer’s environmental noise and automatically switch between different noise reduction modes.
The FreeBuds Pro headphones have an industry-leading 0.6mm large amplitude. It can achieve a noise reduction effect of up to 40dB.
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro headset also supports a variety of smart pairing methods, and supports dual devices online at the same time. After a connection, it automatically connects to the last two devices connected to keep the devices online at all times.
Endurance
This headset has a single talk time of up to 4 hours when fully charged, and up to 7 hours of music playback. With the charging box, the talk time will reach up to 18 hours, and the music playback time is up to 30 hours.
If the noise reduction is ON, the talk time is up to 3.5 hours after a single full charge, and the music playback time is up to 4.5 hours. When used with the charging box, the talk time is up to 16 hours. And the music playback time is up to 20 hours.
In addition, it also supports fast charge technology. Due to the Huawei wired super-fast charge and Huawei wireless super-fast charge technology, charging for 10 minutes (wired and wireless), it can reach 30% and 18% of power, respectively. It supports the reverse charging of smartphones/tablets.
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro also uses advanced low-latency algorithms. According to Huawei’s laboratory data, the delay can be as low as 180 milliseconds. It requires Huawei smart devices with EMUI 10.1 and above.
