Apple iPhone 12 series is expected to use a 7P lens module

The upcoming Apple iPhone 12 series is expected to be equipped with high-quality lens modules. A new report from DigiTimes indicates that all models will arrive with 7P lens modules. This module will probably improve the image and video quality to a certain extent. The report also points out that Android phone manufacturers will probably follow suit. This will greatly increase competition among suppliers.

In comparison with older iPhone models, the 7P lens can increase light transmittance. This will in turn improve image quality. As for the iPhone 11 Pro, it uses a 5P lens for the ultra-wide-angle camera and a 6P lens for the wide-angle and telephoto cameras.

In addition, the iPhone 12 series will also upgrade the camera in other aspects. According to previous rumors, there are reports that Apple still uses the 12-megapixel sensor of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. However, the company will use a larger sensor to help improve image quality, especially in dimly-lit conditions.

In addition, iOS 14 Beta 1 exposed the slow-motion option of 4K 240FPS, and users should also be able to use LiDAR autofocus, enhanced night mode, enhanced noise reduction, depth of field video and other functions.

SPECULATIONS ON THE APPLE IPHONE 12 SERIES

Rumors say that Apple will release four iPhone 12s this year. This includes the “budget” 5.4-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.8-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. There are also reports that all four models will use OLED displays and support 5G. These will be the first set of 5G smartphones from Apple. The low-end models will use dual rear cameras and 4GB RAM, while the Pro models should come with a triple rear camera setup. The Pro models will also come with 6GB of RAM and a 120Hz ProMotion display.

There are also reports that the iPhone 12 series may have a 4G version. According to the report, this smartphone has a 5.4-inch and a 6.1-inch LCD model. They both support the 4G LTE network, A14 Bionic chip, built-in 4GB RAM, and a dual 12MP camera. In terms of price, while the 5.4 inches cost $549, the 6.1 inches will sell for $649. The $549 starting price seems to be a good deal considering that last year’s iPhone 11 has a $699 starting price. This means that the iPhone 12 4G is about $150 cheaper than its predecessor. We will have to wait a few more weeks for the official announcement of these devices.
