Apple is hosting an online event today, where the company is announcing several of its new devices. Known for his accurate leaks, Evan Blass posted a tweet in which he revealed the list and some key specifications of the devices that will be presented. So, according to his information, the fourth-generation iPad Air tablet, rumors about which have repeatedly appeared on the Web, will become the world’s first gadget based on the latest 5-nm Apple A14 Bionic chipset. In addition, Evan confirmed the equipment of the device with a modern USB-C connector.

The second device of the day will be an inexpensive eighth-generation iPad mini tablet, which will switch to the powerful Apple A12X Bionic chipset, which was previously the basis of the most expensive iPad Pro (2018). But the outdated Lightning port will remain the connector for power and data transfer.
In addition to tablets, Apple is also announcing the Apple Watch Series 6 smartwatch with the S4 chip from last year’s Series 5, as well as the more affordable Apple Watch SE. Both new items will come in two body sizes and two variants: with and without LTE-SIM support.
There will be no iPhone 12 on Apple’s September presentation
Apple confirmed the presentation of new products on September 15. But it did not disclose the list of these products – the company never does. A little later, a list of September new products appeared on the Web. But, according to the famous insider Jon Prosser, not all devices on this list will be presented next week, including the iphone 12.
In fact, there will be only four new products at the event. Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple’s budget smartwatches, referred to as Watch SE, iPad Air 4 and an inexpensive iPad 8. And that is all. No full-size AirPods Studio wireless headphones and, alas, no iPhone 12.
According to rumors, the premiere of the iPhone 12 will take place later – in October. And not at the very beginning of the month. Orders for devices will begin to take on October 15-16, and sales will start in a week.
It should be noted that John Prosser is a reliable insider. For example, he was the first to publish screenshots of the iPhone 12 Pro interface, which confirmed the main characteristics of the model. By the way, on Monday, the insider promises to publish a photo of AirTags and AirPods Studio headphones.
