Xiaomi and Realme Teases Snapdragon 875 Chipset

Snapdragon 875

Yesterday was an exciting day since it was an Apple launch event. The tech giant introduced its new Apple Watch and the new iPads. However, at the event, they also introduced their most powerful mobile chipset: A14 Bionic. The new chipset will be first used on the iPad Air. Then will be powering the iPhone 12 series which is expected to get announced next month. So what is the response of Qualcomm? Well, Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Realme has started teasing the Snapdragon 875.

As you all know, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 865 Plus a few months ago. It was a slight step-up from the existing Snapdragon 865. However, we all know that Snapdragon 865 Plus is not the Qualcomm’s true response for Apple A14 Bionic. Since Snapdragon 865 Plus is based on a 7nm process. Whereas, Apple A14 Bionic is the first mobile 5nm chipset.

Just after the event, the Xiaomi Redmi and Realme officials teased their products with 5nm chipsets. First, the Redmi GM Lu Weibeing commented on the world’s first tablet with a 5nm chipset. Redmi K40 Pro might be coming with Snapdragon 875

Talking about Redmi, the anticipated device with this processor is the Redmi K40 Pro. It is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year. While its parent company Xiaomi will also be refreshing its flagship Mi 10 series to Mi 11 or Mi 20 and they will be revealed in February next year.
