OPPO Watch ECG version launched – starts pre-sale for 2499 yuan ($366)


This afternoon, at the 2020 Oppo Developers Conference, the company officially released the OPPO Watch ECG version. Currently, this new product is on pre-sale at Oppo Store and at Jingdong Mall. The price of this device is 2499 yuan ($366) but there is a 100 yuan ($15) pre-sale discount. This means that you can currently buy this device for 2399 yuan ($351). The ECG version is available in 46mm and 41mm variants.

The OPPO Watch ECG version is equipped with sophisticated professional ECG detection sensors. The electrocardiogram tracking achieves medical-grade measurement accuracy. It has a second-class medical registration certification on the hardware. It can provide accurate ECG detection data and support more professional analysis and interpretation of ECG data. This watch can track heart abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation, premature heartbeats, and supraventricular tachycardia. This feature helps users to detect health issues. The watch also gives suggestions on how to tackle the issue, however, you have to connect it to the health app. When there is an abnormal reading, the Oppo Watch will vibrate to alert the user.  The OPPO Watch ECG edition supports e-SIM. This allows users to make calls and there is no need for a smartphone.

OPPO Watch ECG Edition specs

Under the hood, the Oppo Watch ECG version comes with a dual chip configuration. It uses a combination of the Snapdragon 2500 chip as well as the Apollo 3 low-power chip. This smartwatch also comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and runs on the ColorOS Watch edition. This device can seamlessly pair with smartphones running on Android 6.0 and above. Furthermore, the system also comes with Oppo’s Breeno voice assistant. This means that this watch support some vice control features.

The display of this device is a 1.91 inch AMOLED screen with 402 x 476 pixels resolution. It also boasts of 326ppi pixel density, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The Oppo Watch ECG version uses a 316L stainless steel chassis and has a dimension of 46 x 39 x 11.35 mm. The rear of this device is made of ceramic / sapphire. Without its fluoro rubber strap, this device weighs only 45.5 grams. On the battery side, it uses a 430 mAh battery which offers 40 hours usage time in Smart Mode and 21 days in Low Power mode. Using the Watch VOOC Flash Charge technology, this device gets a full charge in just 15 minutes. Other features in this watch include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE connectivity, GPS and 5ATM water-resistance.
