We wait for the Huawei Mate 40 series flagship smartphones to hit the market in October. Today, a well-known Weibo blogger disclosed some detailed information about the rear camera module of the device. It turns out the upcoming series handsets will continue to use the rear quad-camera solution.
As the photos show, the opening positions of the rear camera module of the Huawei Mate 40 are not consistent. So we guess they belong to three models of the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro+, respectively.
It was revealed that the standard version of the Huawei Mate 40 will come with a curved screen + rear triple-camera solution. The highest version will use a combination of waterfall screen + rear quad-camera module. And the another model has five openings. Compared to the first two, there is a large rectangular opening in the middle. So we think it may belong to the rear camera module of Mate 40 Pro.
The blogger also hinted that the standard version will sport a front single camera, and the highest model of the Huawei Mate 40 will use the so-called ‘pill hole’ (may allude to the dual camera). He also said: ‘IMX700 sensor + periscope lens, and adding some new technologies should make the phone lead the DXOMARK list again.’
