In other aspects, the Coolpad smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera and a rear 16MP+2MP dual camera. The former supports AI smart recognition and smart beauty. There is also a built-in 4000mAh battery, which can be charged through the Type-C interface. Also, this battery provides a standby time of 14 days.
Though many may not be familiar with this brand, Coolpad is quite popular in China and India. (In fact, Coolpad has been selling equipment in India since 2007.) It has even launch a 5G smartphone last year. Back in August of 2019, Coolpad said it will be the first company in India to launch a 5G phone. It has been investing in 5G technology since 2012 and will launch 5G smartphones when India’s 5G infrastructure is ready.
Apart from this, we learned that Coolpad had applied for more than 800 5G-related patents and obtained about 120 5G end-to-end patents. Coolpad is still negotiating with MediaTek and Qualcomm on the use of related 5G technology on smartphones. Coolpad India CEO said that the company is expected to launch 5G smartphones next year. This sounds sad but we have what we have.
