October promises to be a busy month for the premiere of OnePlus smartphones. The flagship OnePlus 8T will be the first to enter the scene and it will happen on October 14; and towards the end of October, the company intends to present more affordable models that can be attributed to the middle segment. New devices will be part of the young and daring OnePlus Nord line.
OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100 will launch later this month
We are talking about the OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100 models, where the first of the debutants was created with a focus on the US market. As a reminder, the OnePlus Nord N10 will offer a Snapdragon 690 chip, a 6.49-inch FullHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 6/128 GB of storage. The main camera will be a quadruple-camera with 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensors. It will be the first smartphone from the manufacturer with a 64-megapixel module.
The second device will be the OnePlus Nord N100, and the reason for such a strange naming is not reported. It will almost certainly be an affordable model and, perhaps, this is the OnePlus smartphone that was rumored as a device with a Snapdragon 460 processor. But this is just an assumption and at the moment the company has not announced its plans to release new products.
OnePlus teases OnePlus Nord N10 5G ahead of October 15 event
Two months ago, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Nord as its first mid-range smartphone since the controversial OnePlus X. The OnePlus Nord is a competitive smartphone bringing 5G capabilities thanks to the Snapdragon 765G and powerful camera setup with OIS. Something that is not common among mid-range devices. However, there was a specific fact in OnePlus Nord that made some users discontent. It is quite limited in availability. For instance, users in the United States couldn’t get one.
Since the Nord release, and even before, we started to see leaks and rumors pointing to the existence of a mid-range variant with Snapdragon 690 5G SoC. This is Qualcomm’s mid-range 5G chipset with a lower price tag than the SD765G. Everything was pointing to a release of a new variant in Q4 2020. Recently, with the hype growing for the OnePlus 8T, the company was finally ready to tease its new OnePlus Nord.
