Redmi Note 10

After the November holiday, Xiaomi will release a couple of smartphones in the Redmi series. First off, there is the Xiaomi Mi 10T Chinese version which will launch in the Redmi K30 series. Also, the company will debut the Redmi Note 10 series. Today, popular Weibo leakster, @DigitalChatStation leaked some more details about the Redmi Note 10 series.

Redmi Note 10 series

According to his Weibo post, the Note 10 series has two models. Both models come with a single punch-hole LCD display. One of these phones uses a MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC and a 48MP main camera. However, the other comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC as well as a 108MP main camera.

Looking at the specs of these devices, it is easy to see that the MediaTek Dimensity 720 version should correspond to Redmi Note 10, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G version should be the Redmi Note 10 Pro. It is worth noting that this will be the industry’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile phone.

Gizchina News of the week

According to reports, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G is an 8nm process chip. The CPU uses an eight-core design, including two large cores and six energy-efficient small cores. The large core is Cortex A77 and it integrates Adreno 619 GPU.

More importantly, the Redmi Note 10 series will use a 108-megapixel main camera for the first time. This is the first time that Redmi will use this sensor on a mid-to-low-end model. The imaging is expected to be significantly better relative to the previous generation. Of course, it is worth looking forward to.

As for the price, considering the positioning of the Redmi Note series, the starting price should be around 1,000 yuan ($149). As for the Pro version, the starting price should be about 1500 yuan ($224).

A recent Weibo post from Redmi product director, Wang Teng, suggests that this device is coming soon. According to the post, the Redmi Note 10 series will probably arrive later this month or early next month. Considering that the annual Chinese 11.11 sale is about a month away, the company may release the new Note 10 series before 11.11. Of course, it will want its new device to be part of the annual sales/shopping festival. However, there is no direct official statement regarding the launch of this device.

Going with MediaTek chipsets for both phones would have been a wiser choice both in terms of price as well as performance

Nope, Xiaomi Mi10t Lite (already announced) is the first one!

Other than that: 128 mp main camera for the pro model? I certainly wish that to be true!
