Xiaomi has taken the wraps off its Mi 10T series a couple of weeks ago. The handset brought very competitive specifications like 144Hz displays, 5G chipsets, huge batteries, and capable cameras. The new Mi 10T series comes to succeed last year’s Mi 9T family that was the global counterpart of the Redmi K20 family. Well, some things never change and Xiaomi is now gearing up to re-launch the Mi 10T as a Redmi K30S in some regions. Today, the alleged handset has appeared on the Chinese regulatory agency TENAA. The listing reveals most of the specifications alongside some shots confirming the phone’s design. For all effects, it seems to be a huge rebranding of the existing device.
Redmi K30S alleged specifications
The Remi K30S bears model number M2007J3SC and is listed with a 64MP camera. As aforementioned, this phone seems to be a counterpart of the vanilla Mi 10T that comes with a 64MP camera. This is not confirmed just yet, but the Chinese market may also get the 108MP variant with the Redmi K30S Pro moniker being a very plausible name for it.
Gizchina News of the week
Getting back to the point, the Redmi K30S is listed with three RAM options. The vanilla has 6GB of RAM, the mid option has 8GB of RAM and the high-end version comes with a whopping 12GB of RAM. The Storage also follows this proportionally, we have 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of Internal Storage. It’s not too hard to guess how these RAM / Storage options will be combined. According to TENAA, the phone draws power from a 4,900mAh battery. This seems to be the rated capacity, so we’re probably looking at a 5,000mAh typical capacity, just like the Mi 10T.
The phone flaunts a 6.67-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution (2,400 x 1080) and 20:9 aspect ratio. We’re probably looking at a 144Hz refresh rate since it’s the icing on the cake of the Mi 10T series. Since this is an LCD, we have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device has 165.1 x 76.4 x 9.33 mm overall dimensions and weighs in at 216 grams. It’s quite heavy, and we assume that this is due to the huge battery.
The Mi 10T or Redmi K30S does not come to play average games! It’s powered by the vanilla Snapdragon 865 chipset which can easily perform any task you throw at it. The phone will likely run MIUI 12 straight out of the box and it will be running above Android 10 OS.
