Huawei Mate 40 series – four models are coming

The Huawei Mate 40 series global press conference is scheduled for October 22, 20 o’clock, Beijing time (14:00, October 22, Central European Summer Time). Fro what we already know, the Huawei Mate 40 series will have four smartphones. In addition to the Huawei Mate 40, we will also have Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate40 RS Porsche Design.

Furthermore, Huawei Mate 40 series is expected to use Kirin 9000 chips. Yu Chengdong previously stated that the Kirin 9000 will likely be the last generation of Huawei’s Kirin high-end chips.

There is a strong limit to the available supply of this chip. After the ban on Huawei, TSMC had a limited time to deliver all Huawei’s orders. Subsequently, there were reports that TSMC was only able to deliver 8.8 million units. Huawei’s order is about 15 million chips. According to analysts, the 8.8 million chips will only take Huawei for about six months. To this end, we may not be seeing much of the Huawei Mate 40 series. It will easily go out of stock. This means that whoever wants to grab any of these smartphones has to be proactive.

There are also reports that Huawei will use this flagship chip for its upcoming tablet. If this is true, it will further reduce the availability of the Huawei Mate40 series.
