At the Wisdom Life conference, OPPO announced that it would build an Internet of Everything company. The most important product today was the OPPO Smart TV. In addition to the flagship OPPO Smart TV S1 series, there is also the R1 series.
OPPO Smart TV S1 Key Features
The OPPO Smart TV S1 uses a 65-inch quantum dot QLED floating screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz as well as a 210-zone full-array backlight. It also supports NTSC 120% ultra-wide color gamut. The peak brightness reaches 1500 nits. It has passed the TUV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Not only that, the OPPO Smart TV S1 sports the MediaTek MT9950 chip. This is the first TV chip on the planet that supports both Wi-Fi 6 and 8K. In addition to supporting 8K video output and decoding (8K@60FPS), its built-in AI processor also has 1.6TOPS computing power. The company emphasized that the OPPO Smart TV S1 only takes 1 second to turn on. And it supports 2x speed watching.
In addition, the OPPO Smart TV S1 has an 8.5GB of memory and 128GB of large-capacity storage. And as said, it supports Wi-Fi 6, HDMI 2.1 and more.
More importantly, the OPPO Smart TV S1 runs the new ColorOS TV system. The latter supports NFC one-touch flash projection. Due to it, the small screen instantly transforms into a large screen, and it also supports four-channel projection and four-channel viewing.
The TV can be linked with IoT devices. For example, you can use the watch to help you when you can’t find the remote control. Say, when you fall asleep while watching TV, the watch automatically turns off the screen for you.

Unlike the flagship positioning of the OPPO S1 series, the OPPO R1 series is mainly for mainstream users. However, the overall configuration and picture quality are still quite attractive.
The OPPO R1 series TVs are available in 55-inch and 65-inch variants and support 4K resolution. The appearance adopts a floating full-screen design with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 96% and excellent visual effects.
In terms of screen, the OPPO R1 series TV supports DCI-P3 93% color gamut, and the color performance is good.

Oppo has managed to check all the right boxes in terms of the features and the specs of the TV. Both the series are powerful additions to the TV segment while these both are powered by Mediatek chipsets which isn't surprising to be honest.
I got tempted to buy this crazy premium offering by Oppo with mediatek's TV technology right after reading WiFi 6 support and 18 speakers with 85W sound output.
WiFi 6 along with 120Hz refresh rate and the Mediatek chip addition are really impressive features to the TVs
