Redmi K30 now getting its first MIUI 12 (Android 11) beta update

Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is quite good with software updates. One of the major selling points of this company is its software support for very old phones. In some cases, Xiaomi releases updates for some smartphones that are up to five years old. Over the past few weeks, it has been releasing the development beta of MIUI 12 on top of Android 11 for its flagships. According to recent reports, the MIUI 12 (Android 11) is now available for the Redmi K30 basic version.

This update is an Android cross-version upgrade, the update package size is 2.9GB. In addition to upgrading to Android 11, it also optimized the stability of the system, optimized the fluency of the system, adds super wallpapers, optimizes the memory usage, and takes care of lagging issues. Furthermore, due to the major version upgrade of Android, the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition (Ultra) has suspended the internal beta (MIUI 12 Android 11) update from today. However, this device is getting the latest MIUI 12 (Android 10) stable update.
