The all-new update brings the firmware version G96xFXXUCFTJ2 to the device. Since it is a major update, make sure that you are connected to a good internet connection. If you own the device and reside in Germany, then you might have already received the update notification. If that’s not the case, you can try updating your phone manually by heading over to Settings>>Software Update>>Download and Install.

To recall, the all-new One UI 2.5 update brings several new additions to the table. We’re looking at the support for wireless DeX meaning you will be able to use DeX wirelessly on any TV that supports screen mirroring. In this case, your phone’s display will act as a touchpad through which you will be able to navigate. The update also adds YouTube search functionality to the Samsung Keyboard. With the new update, you will also be able to use the Key Cafe Good Lock module on your device.  There are few more new additions that the update carries alongside it.

Is this the last major update for the lineup?

With that rollout of One UI 2.5 update to Galaxy S9 duo, the foremost question that emerges is the fact that whether this new rollout is the last major update for the device or not. Well, it is safe to say that One UI 2.5 is the last major update that the Galaxy S9 duo will see. Sadly, the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.0 will not make its way to the lineup. Although the Galaxy S9 and s9+ will see security patches in the foreseeable future.
