iQOO U1x with Snapdragon 662 launched in China for 899 Yuan (~$135)

iQOO U1x entry-level smartphone of the company is silently launched in China. The phone is retailing via Chinese online retailers like Tmall and Jd.com. A few days back iQOO U1x was listed on the Tmall website with various storage options and prices. Although after some time the listing was removed from the website.

iQOO U1x powers with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. It pairs 4GB/6GB RAM and UFS 2.1 64GB/128GB internal storage. The iQOO’s new smartphone features a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with 1600 x 720 pixel resolution while offering an 89% screen-to-body ratio. Talking about cameras, the phone packs a triple camera setup at the back that includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2, 2MP secondary camera lens, and 2MP with f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, there is an 8MP front camera that is placed in a waterdrop display notch.

The iQOO’s new smartphone has a massive 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It runs on Android 10 with iQOO UI out of the box. iQOO U1x has volume rockers on the right side and just below there is power + fingerprint sensor. Moreover, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack for flawless audio connectivity. It is available in two color options i.e. Black, and Morning frost (Silver) colors. The device measures 164.41mm×76.32mm×8.41mm in size and weighs 192.3g.

It is available for purchase in China via Tmall and JD.com. The pricing of the new smartphone is listed below along with all the variants.

  • 4GB RAM +64GB storage variant is priced at 899 Yuan (~$135)
  • 6GB RAM +64GB storage variant is priced at 999 Yuan (~$150)
  • 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant is priced at 1199 Yuan (~$180)

Additionally, iQOO U1x is the second smartphone in the U-series by the company. The first one is iQOO U1 which is a mid-range Android smartphone coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. It has a 48MP primary camera at the rear along with two 2MP camera sensors. On the front side, there is an 8MP punch-hole camera. It packs a 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and runs on iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 10 out of the box.
