After being done with its flagship devices of this year, Samsung is now working on the next generation of Galaxy S flagship device. For those who’re unaware, we are talking about the upcoming Galaxy S21 series. While the chaebol generally launches its Galaxy S devices in the month of February, this time the brand is planning for an early launch. According to few reports, the South Korean giant is planning to launch the lineup in early January.

Since the very first leak, we’ve been hearing a lot about the series thanks to numerous leaks and rumors. Well, to add to the fire, we now know that the Galaxy S21 lineup will run on the One UI 3.1 software. Sounds interesting considering the company is currently testing One UI 3.0 beta and the fact that the launch is not that far.

Galaxy S21 lineup will bring One UI 3.1 software!

According to a recent tweet by a notable leakster Jimmy Is Promo (@jimmyispromo), Samsung Galaxy S21 will launch with One UI 3.1 and not with the currently in testing One UI 3.0 build. This new development makes sense considering Samsung generally launches its Galaxy S flagship devices with One UI version x.1. Considering this naming convention, we should see the One UI 3.1 software with the S21 lineup. At the time of writing this, there is no information regarding the One UI 3.1

Gizchina News of the week

To recall, Samsung is currently undergoing the public beta testing of its new One UI 3.0 software for its latest-gen Galaxy S20 and Note 20 lineup. The public beta testing program will soon be available for more compatible devices. With that said, the smartphone maker is planning to bring the stable version of the software by the end of the year. If that’s the case, then One UI 3.1 software will arrive while the One UI 3.0 will barely make its way to all the compatible smartphones.

This also means that Samsung should already be working on One UI 3.1 software if it wants to launch it alongside the Galaxy S20 trio. It’s obvious that the 3.1 will also be based on the latest Android 11 operating system. Considering previous leaks, the Galaxy S21 series will have three devices namely regular Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. Not only this, but we also have render images of the Galaxy S21 series that you can find right here.
