Apple’s online service had some problems yesterday, affecting multiple iCloud functions. The likes of iCloud Drive, iCloud Keychain, Find My apps, and more were affected. On Apple’s system status page, the problem started around 9:02 AM Eastern Time, spanning 14 different regions, and these regions had iCloud connection issues in some form. In all service collections, Apple informed that “some users are affected”. In addition, the main problem with each service is that it cannot access the service itself or certain aspects of each service.
Since then, the status page has been updated to show that all issues are “resolved”. These iCloud issues were resolved at 1:57 PM Eastern Time, so the duration of the issue was 4 hours and 55 minutes. However, Apple did not list any service as suffering “disruption” as it did in September. Nevertheless, the company described each service as a “problem”. As of now, we can not tell the extent of the issue in terms of the number of users. However, Apple’s description and the level of reports suggest that this issue is not widespread.
