Previously, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 folding screen smartphone is planned to be released next spring. But it turns out that the phone is not going to hit the market along the next-generation S series flagship product Galaxy S21.
The well-known whistleblower and DSCC president @DSCCRoss said today that the news from its channel indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 will be delayed until next summer.
The original Samsung Galaxy Flip was launched in early February this year. Then, the Korean giant launched a 5G compatible version in August.
As of now, there is no news about this upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 smartphone. But as 5G phones have now become mainstream, the phone will definitely support 5G networks. So the possibility of carrying Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chips is not ruled out.

The report also pointed out that compared with the original model, this new smartphone will undergo some interesting upgrades, but did not mention more.
In this sense, it should be quite useful to recall the key features of the first—gen model. This phone sports a 6.7-inch dynamic emulated screen with a 22: 9 aspect ratio. Unlike other foldable phones, it has an Ultra-Thin Glass layer on top. Thus, it doesn’t scary of scratches at all. There is also a 1.1-inch second super-emulated screen for notifications.
Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, an 8GB RAM and a 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The main camera of this phone has an f/1.8 aperture and 1.4µm. It has a 12-megapixel resolution. Also, there is a 12-megapixel camera with a slightly slower f / 2.2 aperture.
The Galaxy Z Philip comes with a 3300mAh battery, but its charging speed is limited to 15W. Other key features include AKG stereo loudspeakers, wireless charging and Android 10 with One UI 2.0.
