New OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100 will only update to Android 11

The new smartphones from OnePlus, the Nord N10 5G and the Nord N100, are already quite strange devices considering the company’s philosophy. This is not to say that these are terrible smartphones, but this is not an ultimate solution in the budget segment, as the company wanted them to be.

And now there is news about the problems with the software update. Android Central has released new material confirming that the Chinese manufacturer does not plan long-term support for its new smartphones – the N10 and N100 will only be updated to Android 11, and that’s it.

Both devices run Android 10 out of the box, and OnePlus was originally supposed to support at least Android 12 or even 13 – after all, the company has made a name for itself with timely updates. And now we have an official announcement from OnePlus that the manufacturer’s developers will only prepare one major Android update.

The Chinese company has always had a strong fan base, always ready to participate in all beta tests, no matter what the developers prepared. Obviously, now OnePlus can no longer meet the usual standards – starting with OnePlus 7, the company has already released four smartphones a year, and before that, even less.
