Redmi Note 9 lineup was unveiled globally in early 2020. However, the Note 9 lineup didn’t launch in its home country. Now, the Chinese tech giant is all set to launch the Redmi Note 9 Series in China. What new is the 5G connectivity for the first time in the Redmi lineup, hence expect the moniker to be Redmi Note 9 5G series. A leak has surfaced online suggesting the launch of the new devices to be held next week.
The Redmi Note 9 5G lineup is expected to include Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G. We are also expecting a cheap 4G version of Redmi Note 9 as-well. Let’s check out each of the devices in detail below.
Redmi Note 9 5G
The Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display. It comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48-megapixel primary shooter. On the front side, you will get a 13-megapixel selfie cam. From the renders, we can say that the front camera is resting on the top left of the display in a punch hole notch. On the performance side, expect it to come with a Dimensity 800U chipset.
5000 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging is available on Note 9 5G. From these specifications, Dimensity 800U with its 5G capabilities seems interesting. Other than that, the device is nothing extraordinary. Though, expect it to come with POCO X3’s design language.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G

The star of the lineup will be the Note 9 Pro 5G. Expect it to come with a slightly larger 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel. Of course, it will be having the FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate as-well. It will be the first time, a Redmi Note is going to use a higher refresh rate display.
This device is not just special because of 5G connectivity and 120Hz refresh rate but its camera as well. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is expected to have a primary sensor of 108-megapixel. The Pro is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 750G. It will be having a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging. This phone resembles the recently launched Mi 10T-Lite in design as well as hardware.
Redmi Note 9 – 4G
There is also a 4G version expected of the Redmi Note 9. It will be having a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution. Snapdragon 662 will be powering the phone. Expect it to have a 48-megapixel triple rear camera and an 8-megapixel front cam. However, this phone will have a massive 6000mAH battery with 22.5W charging.
Pricing
The leakster also gives us an idea about the price of the Note 9 5G lineup. The Note 9 5G is expected to be priced at 999 Yuan (~$152). While the Pro version might be having a price tag of 1,499 Yuan (~$228). The leakster is claiming the lineup to be launched next Tuesday, November 24.
