The new eyewear features a similar design to its predecessor. In other words, users get a rectangular-shaped frame design on the front. The shell of the frame is thick and extends to the nose grip position. The side is different from the usual. The Echo Frames Smart Glasses has a bulkier temple, but that’s for a good reason, after all, it houses the advanced internals. Worth noting, if you love fancy colors you’ll be served with two new colorways. The glasses are available in Modern Tortoise, Horizon Blue, and Classic Black. It brings eyewear grade TR-90, carbon fiber, and titanium material. They feature non-corrective lenses and are compatible with prescription lenses as well.

What is the big of the second generation?

According to Amazon, the new glasses come with Bluetooth and Smart Assistant connectivity features. This includes a set of features from Amazon Alexa. Users can pair it with an Android or iOS device and interact with Amazon’s smart assistant just like they interact with the Echo Buds. Moreover, the wearables can play audio over a Bluetooth connection.

The new generation brings improvements in the audio quality and the battery will last longer. It now adjusts the volume automatically based on the Noise levels. Moreover, it has new features like the microphone’s response to voice, VIP filters, support for calendars, and group message.

When it comes to endurance, Amazon states that the new Glasses will give 40% more battery life than the first generation. If you keep the volume at 60%, of course, higher levels will certainly consume more power.

It’s incredible to see how fast Amazon managed to bring the new generation of its smart glasses. After all, the rumors about the first-gen emerged in 2017 and the company unveiled it only in 2019. So in just one year, the company produced a relevant successor for this product. We are curious to see if it will make smart glasses relevant.
