We’re reaching the point where 5G in smartphones is inevitable. For the next year, we expect the number of devices featuring support for the fifth-gen network to double the current amount. Hardware with the new connectivity support is becoming cheaper and companies are starting to bring 5G to low-cost departments. There’s no way to prevent 5G phones to reach countries where 5G isn’t a reality yet. India is one of the strongest markets for smartphones, but the country lacks an operational 5G network. Still, companies will bring 5G smartphones until the country gets ready for it. Motorola is likely to launch the mid-range Moto G 5G in the country in a bid to catch up with Xiaomi and Realme. The device may become one of the cheapest 5G smartphones there.

The new report comes straight from the reliable tipster Mukul Sharma. According to him, Motorola will launch a new smartphone pretty soon in India. He then Tweeted “GGGGGG” which is a pretty good hint. Apparently, it’s the Moto G 5G launched by Motorola in European markets. Moreover, YouTuber Amrelia Ruhez also tweeted that a mid-range phone is coming soon and it isn’t from the house of Xiaomi and Realme.

Gizchina News of the week
All these reports suggest that Motorola will jump other firms in terms of launching an affordable mid-range 5G handset in the country. For now, the Indian market has the OnePlus Nord which is a mid-range 5G phone, but costs around $337. And that is too high to consider it “affordable”. Realme and Xiaomi are set to bring 5G mid-range phones pretty soon, but Motorola may come first with a new device hitting the 20-25K INR range in India. Motorola isn’t the most exciting company nowadays, with many devices coming from Realme and Xiaomi in India. However, the 5G factor may increase its appeal in the country.
Worth noting that the Moto G 5G costs around $300 in Europe. That is way too much for the Indian launch, so the company may price it slightly below in the country. Otherwise, the device wouldn’t stand a chance against the OnePlus Nord that has an AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 765G, and 30W fast-charging. With a $280 price tag, the Moto G 5G could be a good offer in the sub-continent
The Moto G 5G comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a top-left aligned punch-hole. Under the hood, it carries the Snapdragon 750G chipset. It has a 48MP Triple-Camera in the rear. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast-charging. The phone runs Android 10 OS straight out of the box.
