Today, a Weibo blogger said that all OPPO Reno 5 series come standard with 65W flash charging. Also, it sports a single-hole straight screen/single-hole high refresh rate curved screen design. Under the hood, there will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G (sm7250), the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 (mt6889) and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (sm8250) chips.
Previously, we have reported that two OPPO models passed the Internet access audit of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology earlier this month. The models are PEGT00 and PEGM00 respectively. These models have also passed 3C certification and confirmed that they will provide 65W fast charging.
Gizchina News of the week
According to the currently available information, the OPPO Reno 5 adopts a 6.43-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED screen on the front. At the same time, it will come with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. The phone will run the Android 11 system. And it will be available in various storage options of 8GB and 12GB memory and 128GB and 256GB native storage.
In other aspects, the machine adopts a matrix rear quad-camera design. The main camera sensor has a 64MP resolution. But there is also an 8MP lens and two 2MP lenses. The front lens can reach a 32MP resolution. And the battery capacity is marked as 2100mAh. It should adopt a dual-cell design, that is about 4200mAh. The size is 159.1×73.4×7.9mm, and the weight is 172g.
As the name suggests, the Reno 5 will also come with 5G connectivity support. It is worth noting that we’re looking at the regular Reno 5 smartphone considering the TENAA listing showcased a flat-screen. The Reno 3 Pro and Reno 4 Pro has a curved display panel and we’re expecting the same to happen with the Reno 5 Pro if the company has that in its pipeline as well.
