Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has planned an event for the launch of its new devices in China on 26th November 2020. The company is launching Redmi Note 9 series along with the expected Redmi Watch which was spotted at various certifications recently. Surprisingly, the Redmi Note 9 5G surfaces on Geekbench with model number M2007J22C. The device gets 598 points in the single-core test and 1793 points in the multi-core test.
Redmi Note 9 5G GeekBench listing also reveals some key specifications including the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC with 5G support and 8GB of RAM for better multitasking. Redmi Note 9 5G runs on Android 10 based MIUI 12. The could be three different smartphones – Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and a 4G-only model. Moreover, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC supporting 5G connectivity. Moreover, recently Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G were listed on JD.com. According to the listing, both the smartphones will go on sale on the launch day. Although the pricing and other details are still unknown.
Redmi Note 9 5G specification (Rumored)
It features a 6.53-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. As we already mentioned the Redmi Note 9 5G will carry a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. There will be an 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256 GB internal storage options along with a microSD card slot. The smartphone packs a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary camera. Meanwhile, details about other camera sensors are still unknown. The design of the camera setup is round in shape and the LED flash is placed outside the circular module. On the front side, there is a 13MP selfie camera.
The phone will come with a 4900 mAh battery and runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The smartphone has Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C support. It measures 161.96 x 77.25 x 9.20mm and weighs 200 grams.
