Xiaomi recently launched its much-awaited Redmi Note 9 series in its homeland i.e. China. The lineup consists of three devices namely Redmi Note 9 4G, Note 9 5G, and Note 9 Pro 5G. Apart from this trio, the Chinese company also showcased its new Redmi Watch to the viewers. The entire lineup brings powerful hardware at the budget price tag with 5G connectivity options. Soon after the launch of these products, Lenovo decided to steal a bit of attention itself by posting a few teaser images of its next offering. In fact, Lenovo’s new offering will directly pit against the Redmi Note 9 lineup in China.
Lenovo teases its next smartphone offering on weibo!
Lenovo recently posted few teaser images of its unannounced series on its official Weibo channel. The brand is clearly targeting the recently launched Redmi Note 9 series. While there is no information on how many devices the brand will launch, we do know few design elements. The teaser images doesn’t showcase the real render of the device but instead show us sketch. As you can see in the images, Lenovo’s upcoming offering will feature a squircle-shaped camera module on the back. It looks like the device will feature three camera sensors paired with an LED flash.

The second image showcases the front of the device and you can clearly see the punch-hole cutout located on the top-left edge. The cutout houses a single selfie camera. If you look at the image closely, you can see the headphone jack on the top. Lastly, the third teaser image showcases a dedicated side button. It might fire up the company’s digital assistant that goes by the name of Lenovo Voice Pro. Apart from these, Lenovo haven’t revealed anything else as of now. The smartphone maker, of course, has now begun the whole marketing for the device. This means that we should see more information surrounding the device from device and other sources soon.
At this early stage, we don’t even have the key spec sheet of the device. According to the post, Lenovo has promised better camera, bigger screen and a more convenient design with the lineup of devices. To recall, the Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution. It comes with triple camera module on the back with 49MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens paired with a 2MP macro.
Bigger screen ? Is it a 7 inch tablet ? I know Lenovo also make tablets but this is ridiculous.
I own a very good Lenovo, the Z6 phone but I like it for it's good size and weight.
I do hope their software support will be better because their previous lineup, the Z6 was basically abandoned which is a pity as they have good hardware.
